Senior Fellow at the US Studies Centre Bruce Wolpe says Democrats believe they have an “ironclad case” against President Donald Trump following “startling” admissions emerging from his impeachment inquiry.
The US President's acting Chief of Staff has claimed there was a "quid pro quo" arrangement between Donald Trump and Ukraine.
Mick Mulvaney told an inquiry President Trump withheld funding from the country when he asked for a political favour.
“The bottom line is Democrats are absolutely convinced they are on the right track on impeachment, this is going to happen,” he said.
“Even the Senate Republican Leader conceded it was going to happen… so again this side of Christmas I believe there will be a vote in the house to impeach the President of the United States.”
