The Alliance at 70 commemorates the Alliance between Australia and the United States on the 70th anniversary of the signing of the ANZUS Treaty in San Francisco on 1 September 1951.

This volume celebrates and analyses the shared traits of Australia and the United States, providing a broad overview of the events and people that shaped the Alliance.

Featuring a foreword by Prime Minister Scott Morrison and contributions by President George W Bush, Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Prime Minister John Howard, Kim Beazley, John Berry, Julie Bishop, Alexander Downer, Joe Hockey, Paul Hogan, Simon Jackman, Duncan Lewis, Andrew Liveris, Stephen Loosley, Brendan Nelson, Leon Panetta, David Petraeus, Daniel Petre, Dennis Richardson, Brian Schmidt, Arthur Sinodinos, Rob Sitch, Stephen Smith and Michael Thawley.
