The Campaign Tapes gives you an insider’s perspective on US Presidential campaign politics from the campaign managers, strategists, White House staff and the candidates themselves.
The interviews are conducted by US Studies Centre Research Associate John Barron, who as a journalist at the ABC and commercial media covered Presidential campaigns for almost 20 years. John is the author of the acclaimed book Vote For Me! about the 2008 Presidential campaign, following the candidates from the earliest days of small town retail politics right through to election night in Chicago. He also co-produced the documentary film First Stop, Iowa which has screened in Australia and the United States and traced the election of Barack Obama back to the violence of the late 1960s.
