What works to close gender gaps in organisations and what are we doing about it?

A US Studies Centre event co-sponsored by the Behavioral Insights Group at the Harvard Kennedy School's Center for Public Leadership and the Harvard Kennedy School's Women and Public Policy Program with Professor Iris Bohnet, Professor of Public Policy, Director of the Women and Public Policy Program, and Co-Chair of the Behavioral Insights Group at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. 

Following a welcome by Dr Michael Spence, University of Sydney Vice-Chancellor and Male Champion of Change, Professor Bohnet spoke about what works to close gender gaps, including the latest research from behavioural insights conducted around the world and curated in Harvard’s searchable online platform, the Gender Action Portal (GAP), to redesign organisational structures and procedures. Professor Bohnet's presentation was followed by a panel of leaders from business, government and academia who discussed the opportunities and challenges for organisations who want to redesign their workplaces for gender equality and excellence.
